I started my career marketing Royal Doulton fine china to brides and collectors.
After working in brand management and advertising, and spending 4 years in the USA, I returned to the UK to hold numerous senior commercial and marketing posts - successfully initiating and developing international business and strategic alliances that contemporised the brand and grew sales.
I then joined W.H. Smith to lead own label new product development and strategic marketing in stationery, news, magazines and f.m.c.g categories.
An opportunity to work as a multi-channel consultant with B&Q led to the foundation of Head First in 2003.
I'm an alumnus of London Business School and have spoken at many corporate conference and industry marketing events.
When I'm not working I enjoy cooking, reading, music, swimming, sport and film.
